<p>Like Goðafoss, the Aldeyjarfoss waterfall, situated on the Skjálfandafljót River, is fed by the Vatnajökull glacier. The water flows into a narrow passage before dropping 20 meter into a wide basin, surrounded by beautifully formed basalt columns, which are a part of a lava field, named Suðurárhraun, which was originally formed by eruptions, around 9500 years ago. Aldeyjarfoss waterfall is situated in the valley of Bárðardalur in the north of Iceland at the northern part of the Sprengisandur Highland Road. From [&#8230;]</p>

<p>The Arctic Henge (Heimskautsgerði) is a newly built monument for the island´s Pagan worshippers, the Ásatrú. The monument is located close to one of Iceland´s most remote villages, Raufarhöfn, Nordur-Tingeyjarsysla, Iceland, in North-East Iceland. Similar to its ancient predecessor, Stonehenge Stone Circle, the Arctic Henge is like a huge sundial, aiming to capture the sun´s rays, cast shadows in precise locations and capture the light between aligned gateways.
