Shot with a drone over an area with hundreds of lakes and ponds, right by the northern side of lake Mývatn, a volcanic lake in northern Iceland. There are several unique natural wonders all around this area. On the northeastern shore, Reykjahlíð village has an information center and is a base for exploring the area.

East of here, Myvatn Nature Baths / Jarðböðin við Mývatn have a naturally heated man-made lagoon, with mineral-rich waters known for their health-giving properties. On the eastern side of the lake you´ll find Hverfjall Volcano, Dimmuborgir and the hot water filled caves at Grjótagjá. A short distance away, near Námafjall Mountain, is Hverir, a hot-springs area with boiling mud pots and fumaroles.
