Berufjörður is a fjord in Eastern Iceland. It is about 20 kilometres (12 mi) long and 2 to 5 kilometres (1 to 3 mi) wide. The village Djúpivogur, Sudur-Mulasysla, Iceland (pop. 456) is located on its western shores. Mt. Búlandstindur which is 1,069 metres (3,507 ft) above sea level is located west of the fjord. The Ring Road (Route 1) passes on its shores, but during summertime it´s also possible to drive the shortcut road “Öxi” that starts at the bottom of the fjord and can be seen here winding up the hills towards Egilsstaðir.
