Huldufjöll (Hidden Mountains) and Mýrdalsjökull glacier
To get to this place you´ll need to hike from the campsite at Þakgil. The track is around 7 kilometers long each way and can be considered a rather easy hike. The viewpoint is located at around 700 meters over sea level and when you reach it you will be awarded with a stunning view over Mýrdalsjökull glacier, Huldufoss waterfall and the surrounding black sand deserts. On a good day you´ll be able to see Iceland´s highest mountain Hvannadalshnjúkur from here.
