Laugar Reykjadal is one of the smallest villages (approximately 150 inhabitants) in Iceland, and can be found in this beautiful valley midway between Akureyri and lake Mývatn. This community has sprung up around the geothermal activity which is a characteristic of the area.

During the summer months, visitors can find accommodation at the summer hotel, or with one of the other service providers in the surrounding area. Laugar has an excellent swimming pool and other sports facilities.
