This one was shot earlier today straight above Grjótaþorpið, 101 Reykjavík. one of the oldest neighborhoods of Reykjavík, looking up Ingólfstorg square, Austurstræti and Laugarvegurinn. To the right we can see Austurvöllur square, Tjörnin (The Pond) and Ráðhús Reykjavíkur (City Hall) and to the left we can see Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre and the Gamla Höfnin í Reykjavík (The Old Harbor).
Nota bene!!! This image was shot with special permission from, and in close co-operation with Reykjavík Airport officials. This is near one of the flight paths of planes and helicopters, landing at Reykjavík airport, but since they were using another runway at the time, I was very fortunate to get a 10 minute permission to send my drone up over the city center to catch this panorama!
