Fossvogur and Fossvogsdalur are a popular outdoor and recreational area on the \"border\" of Reykjavík, Iceland and Kópavogur. The valley is 2,5 km and a large area was used for agriculture until 1975. There is a popular walking/cycling path running through the valley which connects to Öskjuhlíð, Perlan and the beach at Nauthólsvík on one side, and Elliðaár valley and Heiðmörk on the other side. The valley is home to various sports clubs such as Víkingur and Knattspyrnudeild Breiðabliks and there is also a popular frisbee golf course in the valley.
